 The Montauk Lighthouse will re-open for the season on March 31. The Gift Shop is open on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. Call 631.668.2544 for info. Commissioned by President George Washington in 1792 and completed in 1796, the landmark is New York's oldest lighthouse and is a navigational aid.  Comments are closed.
