Polar Bear Plunge! New Year's Day, East Hampton Main Beach

The Polar Bear Plunge will take place at 1 pm at Main Beach in East Hampton. Sponsored by the YMCA East Hampton RECenter and organized by the East Hampton Hurricanes and the East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue Squad, the event will benefit the East Hampton Food Pantry.

The cost to enter is $35. Registration is from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Another Ocean Plunge will take place at the Beach Lane, Wainscott at 2:30 pm to benefit L'Arche Long Island. Suggested donation is $20. The Run is from the Seafood Shop on Route 27 to the beach (start at 2 pm). Refreshments will be served.
